Research Project
Druggability assessment of challenging protein targets
Assessing the druggability of protein targets is a crucial step in early drug discovery, as it directly influences target prioritization and ultimately the success rate of drug development. The immense increase of available protein structures through AI-based structure prediction models has created unprecedented opportunities to identify potentially druggable binding sites in previously understudied proteins. However, a subset of particularly challenging targets still requires more advanced assessment strategies. This research project integrates innovative computational tools to address the limitations of traditional druggability prediction methods and improve the evaluation of these difficult targets.
