I have been a science manager for the Cosy.Bio institute since December 2021. I did my PhD at Harvard University in the Gibbs lab, where I studied how Proteus mirabilis utilizes a type VI secretion system to engage in bacterial social interactions. For my postdoctoral studies, I moved to the Dutton lab at the University of California - San Diego. Here, I used various metagenomics approaches to study horizontal gene transfer in cheese rind microbiomes.
